Read the Bedford Home Invasion Search Warrant

Home invasion suspects reportedly entered through basement window.

BEDFORD – With the release of 183 pages of previously sealed documents pertaining to the investigation into last year's home invasion at 7 Proclamation Court, many new details into the events of the evening of Nov. 24, 2012 have surfaced.

While much of the information described in the search warrants is graphic, including details on a sexual assault, the manner in which suspect Charles Normil and an accomplice allegedly entered the home is also revealed.

According to the warrant, the suspects likely entered the house through a ground floor basement window by cutting open an outer screen and forcibly removing the glass.

The warrants also reveal that Sonia Quessada first encountered "a large black make wearing a ski mask and gloves" in the laundry room. She was then raped and beaten after she explained to the suspect that the home didn't have a safe.

She reportedly escaped through the garage and ran to a neighbor's home screaming for the health of her husband – who had been stabbed repeatedly in the head with a screwdriver – and safety of their child, who was later found unharmed upstairs.

When interviewed by police that night and then again days later, Sonia Quesada provided police with valuable details pertaining to the crimes committed inside her home.

She also explained that Naomi Conde, a nanny who had been let go months earlier, made her feel "uncomfortable"

Upon investigating Conde, police discovered that she had been a reporting party of a robbery that occurred on Nashua Road in Bedford on Aug. 13, 2011. Though not specifically named as a suspect in either case, Conde reportedly told investigators she called her husband, not police, when she heard a loud banging noise outside the Nashua Road home. It was later discovered that the house had been burglarized and the suspects entered through a basement window.

In September, Normil was formally indicted on 13 charges– including attempted murder and rape – stemming from the Thanksgiving weekend home invasion attack. The second suspect, who was mentioned in the warrants as a witness, but not named, has yet to be identified.
