Your Guide: Try a Kids Try-Athlon in Bedford This Weekend!

Children's event, including jump roping portion, benefits longterm bereavement center with Home Health and Hospice Care in Merrimack.

Three years ago, Aine Marie Phillips succumbed to a rare and undiagnosed disease and passed away at the far-too-young age of 8.

Now her parents and the community are remembering the beautiful young girl through The Friends of Aine Foundation's Kids Try-Athlon and Jump Roping Event, which will be held at the Bedford Memorial Town Pool complex at the corner of Nashua Road and County Road this Sunday, Aug. 18, beginning at 8 a.m.

There will also be a DJ, food, raffle, shirts and bracelets for sale and $1 tattoos!

The event is honoring the life of Aine, who died of Pulmonary Veno Occlusive Disease (PVOD) in August 2010.

All proceeds go toward establishing a longterm bereavement center with Home Health and Hospice care in Merrimack. You can register and find out more about the event at www.friendsofaine.com.
