Woman's death shocked, saddened community.

We've compiled a short list of the top three Bedford Patch stories, by traffic, in 2013. The following is a brief recap of one such story.

It was just weeks into 2013 and the town of Bedford was shaken with the news that Sonia Quesada had been found dead in her mother-in-law's 49 Kensington Lane residence.

Quesda, who had been physically and sexually assaulted during a late-2012 home invasion at her 7 Proclamation Court home, died of what the state medical examiner deemed unnatural causes, though homicide was ruled out.

Her husband, Dr. Eduardo Quesada – who was also left bloodied in the Nov. 2012 home invasion – was found unconscious nearby, though he survived. A large amount of prescription medication was also present.

Investigators ruled that the 30-year-old mother's death was not directly connected to the aforementioned home invasion.
