State Senate District 9 Democrat 6/3/1952 Before joining Shaheen & Gordon as "Of Counsel" in July, 2011 I was a founding partner of the Manchester law firm, Devine & Nyquist and its successor entities for over 26 years. I began my legal career as Law Clerk to the Honorable Maurice Bois, Justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court in 1978, and then practiced with Devine, Millimet & Branch until 1985. My wife, Leslie Nixon, and I were married in 1983 in the Bedford Presbyterian Church and we have lived in New Boston for twenty-three years. House Speaker Bill O'Brien Makes 'Heroes of the Family' List

Bedford candidates, including Keith Murphy and Laurie Sanborn, also score high in Cornerstone Action's review.

House Speaker Bill O'Brien (R-Mont Vernon) is one of 20 state lawmakers labeled "Heroes of the Family" for voting with Cornerstone Action 100 percent of the time, according to the organization's 2012 Families First Voter Guide. Other House candidates honored by Cornerstone with the "Heroes of the Family" label include: Kevin Avard, R-Nashua, Lenette Peterson, R-Merrimack, Daniel Tamburello, R-Londonderry. The guide and its scores for Bedford incumbents running for House or Senate include: The scorecard, listing scores for incumbents running for re-election, is based on 39 roll call votes in the House and 20 roll call votes in the Senate. Bedford Dems Welcome Lee Nyquist Tonight

Lee C. Nyquist of New Boston is among those eyeing the District 9 seat in the New Hampshire Senate. Tonight, joins Bedford Democrats for a 7 p.m. meet-and-greet in the McAllister Room at the Bedford Library. District 9 is currently represented by Sen. Raymond White, R-Bedford.
