Bombing Victim Lu Lingzi Remembered

The Chinese national was studying statistics at Boston University. She was killed in Monday's bombing at the Boston Marathon.

A Chinese newspaper has identified the third Boston Marathon bombing victim as Lu Lingzu, a Boston University graduate student, according to the Associated Press. Lu, from Shenyang, China, was studying statistics. A second Chinese national and BU student, Zhou Danling, was also injured in the blasts. She is listed in stable condition in a Boston hospital, according to Chinese officials. Lu's death has led to an outpouring from friends, family and concerned neighbors in China. Lu's Sina Weibo page already has 20,000 comments from shocked and upset friends (Sina Weibo is a Chinese social media service that combines Twitter- and Facebook-like features).  A former neighbor in China was elegiac when talking about Lu on his Sina Weibo page. Obituary: Bedford Fire Lieutenant James B. Clark

26-year veteran of Bedford Fire Department died at his Goffstown home on April 11.

Obituary obtained from French and Rising Funeral Home: James B. Clark 56 died suddenly April 11, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Batavia, New York in 1957, the son of Richard and Ruth (Preston) Clark. He was educated in Goffstown Public Schools and graduated Bishop Brady High School in Concord in 1975. He was captain of the cross country team at Plymouth State and he graduated with a BA in 1979. He maintained his love of running throughout his life, often bringing home many trophies and awards. He coordinated the Hershey Track program in Goffstown for many years earning him the Clint Robinson Recreation Department Award. Daniel T. Hebert, 62, of Bedford died at home March 28, 2013 after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He was the son of Gerard J. Hebert and Lucille B. Hebert. He was born in Manchester on May 18, 1950. He attended local schools and graduated from Plymouth State College. He was a gifted teacher of the sciences for many years at Bishop Guertin High School and at the NHTI in Concord, NH. OBITUARY: Theresa M. Cook: Former Country Kitchen Employee

Theresa Cook was known and loved by many, and earned unexpected legions of Facebook fans thanks to her grandson's gesture of love.

Theresa M. Cook, 83, of Merrimack died Saturday, August 18, at her home after a brief illness. She was born in Rumford, ME, on November 17, 1928, daughter of the late Tony and Albina (Arseneault) Gallant. Theresa had been employed at the Country Kitchen in Bedford, and Dunkin Donuts in Bedford, and was a 36-year resident of Merrimack. Recently Theresa became known around the country after her grandson, Brandon Cook, posted an online "thank you" to Panera Bread, for a simple act of kindness by providing a bowl of clam chowder for her on a day they didn't normally serve it, which was a great comfort to Theresa, and warmed the hearts of her family and countless others around the country, who shared the story on Facebook. OBITUARY: Andrew Roy

19-year-old Bedford resident died in a car accident early Saturday morning.

Andrew Richard Roy, 19, of Bedford, died July 28, 2012 after a tragic accident. He was born in Quebec on December 29, 1992, the son of Sylvain and Lisa (Lapointe) Roy. He attended Bedford High School prior to graduating from Manchester School of Technology. Most recently, he had been working as a carpenter with his father’s construction company. Andrew loved riding motorcycles and dirt bike racing. He will be remembered as a dedicated son and brother who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. "Yianni" was 54 years old.

John “Yianni” E. Zgonis, of Bedford, NH, passed away on May 21, 2012, from a sudden illness. Born in Rodia, Greece on September 25, 1957, he was the son of Efthemios and Vasiliki (Hasiotis) Zgonis. He was raised in Grevena, Greece and resided in Milford for many years. He moved to Bedford in 2002. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in electrical engineering from the University of Lowell. He co-owned and operated Pizza Bella in Bedford since 1991. Yainni will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband and father.  He was happiest when spending time with his family. Greenland Police Chief's Wake Today

Funeral will be held at noon Thursday in Hampton.

The Remick and Gendron Funeral Home in Hampton published the obituary for Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney on Saturday. Maloney's wake will be held on Wednesday, April 18 at the funeral home.
