What's Open/Closed on the 4th of July in Bedford?

Summer is officially here, and we're sure many of you are wondering what's open and closed in Bedford on Fourth of July?

Here's a quick glance at some local closures to save you a trip or a phone call.

What's Closed

  • Bedford Schools: All Bedford public schools are closed for the summer (Duh, we know).
  • Bedford Public Library: The Bedford Public Library is closed in commemoration of the Fourth of July. The library will be open regular hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Friday, July 5.
  • Bedford Town Offices: The Town Offices are closed for Independence Day.
  • Bedford Post Office: The U.S. Post Office is also closed for the holiday. No regular mail will be delivered.
  • Transfer Station: The Bedford Transfer Station, like the town offices and post office, is closed for the day.

What's Open

  • Movie theaters: Want to use your extra time off to catch the newest summer blockbuster? There are plenty to choose from at Cinemagic in Merrimack and Hooksett. Skip the lines and crowded theaters. Get movie listings for the holiday here.
