Clash of NH Unbeatens Set for Tonight

Bulldogs put their perfect D-I record on the line against 6-0 Concord.

Two years ago, the Bedford Bulldogs reached the Division III championship game. Last year, they did the same in Division II.

This season, the task would be nearly insurmountable in Division I, right?

Don't tell BHS head coach Kurt Hines or his players that.

The Bulldogs are off to a 6-0 start in D-I play, a resume that includes an 14-12 upset win over perennial NH gridiron power Pinkerton Academy in the season opener and a 19-0 victory against a strong Londonderry squad.

In fact, the Bulldogs have outscored their six opponents, 219-28, this season, and their stingy defense went through a four-game stretch without giving up a point before allowing two touchdowns to Manchester Memorial in last weekends 45-14 triumph.

BHS now faces its biggest challenge of the season, however, as it heads to Concord to face the fellow unbeaten and similarly-impressive Crimson Tide for first place in Division I.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Concord's Memorial Field.
