Bedford Girls Soccer Scores Huge Upset
Bedford downed powerhouse Exeter to win the Division 1 state title Saturday night.
The Bedford girls soccer squad Saturday night pulled off a huge upset, defeating powerhouse Exeter in the Division 1 state title game.
Bedford won 1-0 thanks to a score by junior Asha Steele.
Exeter had won four straight state titles and this month was ranked No. 1 in the country, according to a poll by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
The loss was Exeter's first of the season. The title game was played at Southern New Hampshire University.
