Summertime SAT Test Prep Tips

Spending twenty minutes a day this summer on SAT test prep can pay huge dividends come the fall when it is time to take the SAT test! Here are some simple and convenient ways to weave SAT test prep into your daily routine:

  1. Complete 3 SAT Test Prep Math Practice problems over breakfast. Most people aren’t in the mood for conversation at the breakfast table, but if the problems are there in front of you, take a look and solve them, and you can avoid the unwanted conversation too.
  2. Have the SAT Test Prep Reading Practice Questions in your bathroom. A key to Reading Comprehension on the SAT test is to read carefully. The bathroom is a good place to learn the necessary SAT test skill of reading carefully, understanding what you’ve learned, while not lingering.
  3. Be sure to have the Official SAT IPhone, IPad app on your phone. Don’t go to sleep without answering the question of the day. Most of us fiddle on our phones just prior to going to sleep. Be sure to do the daily SAT Test Prep question before you put your phone down for the night!

Remember, in general, our capacity to remember information and develop skills is much better in smaller increments than larger quantities. Preparing for the SAT test is similar. If you practice for the SAT test in small increments over an extended period of time, you develop SAT test taking skills that become habit. The SAT test prep tips above intend to weave SAT test prep into your daily routine. When you were a child you learned how to use a fork to eat because the fork was always there. Be sure that your SAT test prep materials are “always there” and you’ll find you learn how to use them to improve your SAT test taking skills and you’ll ultimately perform better and more consistently on the SAT test when it matters most! Good luck!
