Why is Paul Ryan Coming to NH?

Former candidate for vice president will be in the Granite State in October.

Former Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan will travel to New Hampshire next month to attend Frank Guinta's campaign kickoff fundraiser, according to the Union Leader

Ryan, who served with Guinta in the U.S. House of Representatives, will speak at an Oct. 8 fundraiser being held at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester. Guinta announced Monday via a YouTube video that he is running for the 1st District Congressional seat in 2014.

Ryan is seen as a potential Republican presidential candidate in 2016. He made several stops to the Granite State during the 2012 presidential campaign. A recent Public Policy Polling survey of New Hampshire Republicans had him tied with Marco Rubio in sixth place among GOP contenders at 7 percent.
