Republican Rep, at Odds with GOP over Shutdown, to Speak in Bedford

Potential presidential candidate has been outspoken in his opposition of the current government shutdown.

Congressman Peter King (R-NY), who has reportedly been butting heads with members of his own party recently regarding the government shutdown, will be in New Hampshire Monday to speak at a “Politics & Eggs” breakfast at the Bedford Village Inn.

King and a small faction of fellow Republicans, according to an ABC News Report, are attempting to push a clean continuing resolution (CR), which would provide unconditional funding for the government while the country's two major political parties sort their differences.

“All I know is I think this shutdown’s a bad idea and I want a clean CR,” King told reporters Thursday.
