Police: Arrests Not Necessarily Related to Burglary Spree

You asked. Patch answered.

Earlier this week, Bedford Police apprehended three suspects during an attempted burglary on Greeley Hill Road.

And while many Bedford residents have reached out to Bedford Patch to inquire about a possible connection between the recent arrests and the string of nine July burglaries in town, investigators say there is currently no evidence to support a connection.

"The recent burglaries are still an ongoing investigation," said Bedford Detective Lieutenant Michael Griswold. "The two subjects arrested (Wednesday) are only charged with one count of burglary at this time."

While investigating reported suspicious activities at a home on Greeley Hill Road Wednesday afternoon, Bedford Police caught 20-year-old Jenna Collins of Bedford and 24-year-old Corey Tellier of Manchester allegedly attempting to burglarize the home. They were each charged with criminal trespassing and burglary. A third suspect, who was identified by Bedford Police as a juvenile, was located in a nearby wooded area and booked on criminal trespassing charges.

Bedford Police, on July 31, held a community meeting to address the recent burglaries and offer advice on crime prevention and safeguarding one's home.
