Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to take place on October 25

Looking for a safe, indoor, Halloween party tailored for kids 12 and under?  Dress up in your favorite costume and join in on our spook-tacular Halloween bash as the NH Sportsplex in Bedford comes alive on October 25th, from 5 to 9pm.  You’ll soon discover all the not-so-scary tricks & treats that will await every ghoul and boy.  From laser tag with Captain Jack Sparrow, to a guided trick–or-treating scavenger hunt with villainous villains and beautiful princesses…we’ll have you howling for more!

The event benefits the OPTN Foundation’s mission for finding a cure for Batten disease.  This fatal neurodegenerative disease afflicts several area children, including Bedford’s own 10 year old Nicholas Dainiak.

Our Promise to Nicholas Foundation was founded in 2009 after Nicholas was diagnosed with Batten disease.  This rare, incurable genetic disorder affects an estimated two to four children in every 1000,000 born in the United States.  Nicholas’ parents, Chris and Heather, promised him they would work tirelessly to find a cure for this disease, which will sadly rob him of his childhood and ultimately his life.

Pizza, beverages and a DJ playing your favorite haunted hits will top off this ghastly bash.  In addition, there will be face painting, balloon creations, a bounce house, laser tag, fun-filled carnival games and prizes, a martial arts demonstration by the Bedford Martial Arts Academy, a meet and greet with some of your favorite Disney Princesses, a tasting table sponsored by Stoneyfield Yogurt, several raffle basket tables, a Halloween cookie decorating table, and lets not forget the giant indoor movie screen scheduled to play It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown at 7:15 followed by Wreck It Ralph.

Tickets for the event are $5 per person or $20 per family.  Cash, check or credit will be accepted at the door.  So come celebrate and scare up a good time for a great cause! The NH Sportsplex is located at 68 Technology Drive in Bedford.
