Obituary: Pauline Marthe Roy Boudreau, 86

Pauline Marthe (Roy) Boudreau, 86, died January 13, 2014 at the Laurel Center in Bedford, NH following a period of declining health. She was born on July 28, 1927 to Henri and Grace (Caron) Roy and was raised in St. Jeanne D’Arc Parish in Lowell, MA.

She married Paul V. Boudreau on August 20, 1949 and later moved to Montreal, P.Q. in 1950 where Paul worked in the textile industry. They returned to the United States and settled in Manchester in January of 1961. They had resided at 1120 Somerville St. until 2004 before she moved to Carlyle Place in Bedford followed by Bentley Commons in Bedford from 2009 until 2013.

Pauline was a lifetime member and active supporter of St. Anthony Church where she was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and taught religious education in the early 70’s. She later worked in several retail outlets including Bradlee’s, F.W. Woolworth, and Martin’s Hosiery.

Members of her family include a daughter, Paula Rivers of Merrimack; 4 sons, Richard P. Boudreau of Manchester, Frank Boudreau of Goffstown, Michael Boudreau of Manchester and Peter Boudreau of Auburn, NH; 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Georgette Dupuis of Lowell, MA and Marguerite Campbell of Dracut, MA; three brothers, Gerald Roy of Providence, RI, Norman Roy of No Hampton, MA, and John Roy of Windham, NH. She was predeceased by her husband Paul in 2010.

There are no calling hours. Friends and family are welcome to visit at St. Anthony Church 172 Belmont St. Manchester on Friday at 10:30am, prior to a memorial Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11 am. Urn burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the NH Alzheimer’s Association, 5 Bedford Farms Dr, Suite 201, Bedford, NH 03110.
