Obituary: 23-Year Bedford Resident

Judith A. Farr, 70, of Bedford, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at Elliot Hospital.

She was born on July 26, 1943, in Medford, Mass., the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Winifred (Mulcahey) Martin. Judy graduated from Somerville High School. She had lived in Lexington, Mass., before moving to Bedford in 1990.

She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Judy enjoyed travelling, especially on cruises and to Nantucket. She loved spending time with her family and the grandchildren.

Family members include her husband of 50 years, George I. Farr of Bedford; two sons, David Farr and his wife, Norene, of Bedford, and Byron Farr of Bedford; three grandchildren, Jared, Megan and Emma; brother, Donald Martin of Haverhill, Mass.; sister, Maureen Sharkey of Abington, Mass., and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. with her service at 7 p.m. The Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.
