Kathy Benuck, the executive producer of "Tell It Like It Is" on BCTV in Bedford and an award-winning blogger for Bedford Patch, died July 2 after a two-year fight with cancer.

Benuck, 67, immersed herself in local, state and national politics at BCTV and interviewed candidates and explored various issues. She did the same in her blog on Bedford Patch. In 2013, the New Hampshire Press Association recognized her blog as one of the top three in the state.
