Common Core is Product of Corporate Billionaires, Yet Liberals Side With Them

In the wake of the anti-Common Core press conference lead by Rep Jane Cormier, (http://youtu.be/pqyIYPx6Jwg)   the Union Leader posted an article entitled "Common Core debate fires up crowd" (February 6). There is much disinformation being spread in the comments, such as this one from Darcy McCann:

"
Of course there is no mention of the bus full of out-of-state freakazoids the religious and Tea Party fanatics the billionaires whose fortunes depend on an ignorant public bussed in to pollute the public debate. Reports of sighting came in from all over the state!"

Unlike the anti-gun crowd, there are no "tea party" buses coming in from out-of-state. Nor is the tea party a “religious” movement, or supporting “billionaires”. We are in fact, opposing billionaires such as Jeb Bush, Bill Gates, Pearson the educational snake-oil salesman, and the Koch Brothers, who are funding and promoting Common Core for their gain, using private student data.

Why do the progressives love Common Core? Not because it improves academics, but because it codifies the political indoctrination that is already embedded into our public school curriculum.

Progressives who love it  often defend it using old worn out talking points, the meanings of which they themselves can never explain. Common Core, nor any federal program is, as Rep Chris Muns and others parrot, necessary to "...keep America competitive in the global economy".  If this were true, academics would be a priority, not social engineering and student attitudes. A federal mandate is only necessary to brainwash children into accepting the idea of global government.

Liberals should explain why you defy local control while siding with billionaires and traitors.
