The Republican State Leadership Committee announced Wednesday that State Reps. Laurie Sanborn, (R-Bedford) and Marilinda Garcia (R-Salem) will participate in the RSLC’s 2013 “Right Women, Right Now” Summit fromSept. 9-10 in Nashville, TN.
Sanborn is the Republican Policy Leader in the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
Sanborn and Garcia will join approximately 30 elected officials from across the nation to strategize on how to identify, train and support women to run for state level office and participate in the summit’s goal to recruit candidates to better reflect America’s full diversity.
“Women bring needed, vibrant voices to policy debates across the nation and it is critical we encourage, train and support new women candidates to be in the pipeline of leadership,” Sanborn said in a prepared statement. “’Right Women, Right Now’ will identify 300 women to run for state level office to become our current and future Party leaders. I’m honored to join this Summit, working with proven women leaders from across the nation who are passionate about increasing the number of Republican women in state level office.”
