OutFITters Thrift Stores Are in Need of Donations

An Opportunity to Help Homeless Children and Their Families

MANCHESTER, NH – Families in Transitions’ OutFITters Thrift Stores in Manchester and Concord, NH, are in need of items to fill their sales floors. Both stores accept donations of new and gently used clothing, furniture, housewares, books, and electronics. All proceeds from OutFITters Thrift Stores help to financially support Families in Transition, a Manchester, Concord, and Dover based nonprofit that provides housing and social services to homeless families and individuals. By donating items to OutFITters Thrift Stores, individuals and businesses help support Families in Transition’s mission to provide a home and hope for homeless children, families and individuals in the community.

“Our inventory is at an all-time low to fill the sales floors,” said OutFITters Retail Manager, Matt Teichman. “We want the community to know that by donating their items to us that they are helping those most in need in their own community. It’s important to note that all profits from our stores stay local. “

OutFITters Thrift Stores are in need of the following types of donations: housewares; men’s, women’s, and kids’ summer clothing, and furniture. Items can be dropped off at 394 Second Street, Manchester, NH, Monday through Saturday, 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM and/or at 20 S. Main Street, Concord, NH, Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Large furniture items can be scheduled for pick-up in certain towns by calling 603-641-6691.

 

OutFITters Thrift Stores are owned and operated by Families in Transition (FIT), a nonprofit organization that provides safe, affordable housing and social services to individuals and families who are homeless, enabling them to gain self-sufficiency and respect. All proceeds from OutFITters help pay for the housing and social services FIT provides to its participants.
