MINI of Bedford to Raffle Off Cooper Convertible

Bedford dealership sponsors fundraiser for the Children's Museum of New Hampshire.

Every cause needs advocates, and MINI of Bedford recently announced that it will be supporting the Children's Museum of New Hampshire in its latest fundraising efforts.

The Museum will raffle off a MINI Cooper Convertible from the New Hampshire MINI dealer at its Cheers to Children food and wine fundraiser on March 23, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 6 Washington Street in Dover.

Six hundred raffle tickets are currently being sold at $100 each, with proceeds going toward the museum's operating costs.

Valued at $29,000, the Pepper White 2012 MINI Cooper Convertible features black bonnet stripes and a 121-horsepower, 1.6-liter engine. Though it is a drop-top, the prize is prepped to brave New England winters thanks to a Cold Weather Package that features heated seats, heated power-folding mirrors and heated washer jets.

The lucky winner will also enjoy a six-speed automatic transmission, Bluetooth connectivity with an iPod adapter, a MINI Boost Stereo and a one-year subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio.

"The Children's Museum of New Hampshire does so much good for the community, and we are proud to give back by being a sponsor of this wonderful event," said Marshal Cabot, general manager of MINI of Bedford. "We're sure that whoever wins the Convertible will be thrilled, not only because they won a great car, but because they've also helped to support an important local organization."

Tickets may be purchased online at www.childrens-museum.org, by phone at 603-742-2002 or at the Museum's front desk. Admission to the Cheers to Children event is $50; raffle tickets are $100 each. The Ultimate Ticket offers admission for two and one raffle ticket for $175.

Attendees of the Museum's Cheers to Children event will be treated to signature dishes from local restaurants, a variety of wines and live music. Offering two floors of interactive exhibits for children ranging in age from newborn to 12, the Children's Museum of New Hampshire welcomes 93,000 visitors a year and also serves as a event location for arts, education and science professionals.

The MINI Cooper Convertible is the first and currently the only convertible in the automaker's lineup, but that won't be the case for long. MINI's second drop-top and first-ever two-seat convertible, the MINI Cooper Roadster, will go on sale at the end of February.

"MINI has a reputation for delivering on fun, and the Roadster will be further proof of that," added Cabot. "Whether it's a two-seater or a four-seater, you can't go wrong with a MINI convertible. Both the MINI Cooper Convertible and MINI Cooper Roadster showcase the brand's commitment to creating the ultimate in motoring excitement."

MINI of Bedford is the first and only MINI dealership in New Hampshire, and they're excited to be bringing MINI motoring fun to Granite State drivers. New Hampshire MINI shoppers who visit MINI of Bedford will find a huge selection of new and used MINI models, including the MINI Cooper Coupe and MINI Countryman. Plus, the arrival of MINI to New Hampshire means that convenient MINI service is just around the corner for the local MINI community.
