REMINDER: BVI Ice Bar Opens Today!

One of the largest ice bars in the U.S. headlines five nights of unique winter entertainment at Bedford Village Inn.

For the second-straight year, the Bedford Village Inn will construct a giant ice bar in celebration of the New England winter season.

While last year's structure was 10,000 pounds, this year's version is expected to set a new standard at 50,000 pounds, making it the largest ice bar in the United States.

The 2011 event garnered a sellout crowd, and this year organizers are expecting more of the same when they host the Stoli Ice Bar from Tuesday, Jan. 24 through Saturday, Jan. 28.

In addition, two "ice boxes" will be available for rent each night, offering guests a chance to rent out balconies that overlook the courtyard, complete with personal servers and other VIP amenities.

Special guest DJs will provide entertainment Tuesday and Wednesday evening, and the Josh Logan Band is scheduled to perform performing live on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night to cap off the celebration.

The event is open each night from 5:30-10 p.m., and complimentary transportation will be provided for additional off-site parking to and from the event from the , located less than a mile down the road at 56 Old Bedford Road.
