Bedford Restaurant Looking to Add Outdoor Seating

The proposal will go before the Planning Board on Sept. 9.

A Bedford restaurant will go before the Planning Board next week seeking approval for a new outdoor seating area.

Tek-Nique is looking to add 72 outdoor seats to its location at the Bedford Village Shoppes on Route 101. The Bedford Village Shoppes Condominium Association's request for final approval of a site plan to construct an access driveway from Nashua Road to construct the outdoor seating area is on the Planning Board's Monday, Sept. 9 agenda.

Tek-Nique, a restaurant offering new American and French cuisine, has received rave reviews since opening in 2011. Chef/owner Matthew Trottier was formally trained at the Culinary Institute of America and has worked at The Inn at Little Washington, the Opryland Hotel, The Stonehenge Inn, The Bedford Village Inn, Michael Timothy's, CR Sparks and Giorgio's.

Other items on the Sept. 9 agenda include site plan approval for an office building at 288 South River Road and a request from Target to extend its hours on Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving.
