Lisa Marie Presley Coming to Tupelo

The King's daughter will perform on June 15, with a VIP meet and greet also available.

Submitted by the Tupelo Music Hall:

We booked FIVE new shows this week:

April 25 THE GRAND SLAMBOVIANSThe music of THE GRAND SLAMBOVIANS has been variously described as “hillbilly-Floyd,” “folk-pop,” “alt-country, roots-rock,” and “surreal Americana;” a clear indicator of its singularly indescribable uniqueness. Dancing freely between all existing religious and philosophical mythologies, the music is uplifting, empowering, and a lot of fun.

May 16 TUPELO NIGHT OF COMEDY: This Comedy Night features Lou Ramey, Jimmy Walsh, and Andrea Henry. Our comedy nights are awesome. The comics are top notch. We give you two full hours of comedy. And the price is right. Bring friends and get tickets early. These always sell out.

June 7 LOS LONELY BOYS: Hailing from San Angelo, TX, Los Lonely Boys are a sibling trio whose music draws equally from Rock, Blues, Tex-Mex, Conjunto, and Tejano.  Such a combination is shaped by the band’s three brothers: guitarist Henry Garza, bassist JoJo Garza, and drummer Ringo Garza, Jr. The siblings’ father, Ringo Garza, Sr., was a member of another sibling band, the Falcones, who played conjunto music around Texas during the ’70s and ’80s. After that group broke up, Garza went solo, backed by his three sons even before they reached their teens. The family relocated to Nashville in the 1990s, and gradually the sons emerged as a group separate from their father. After moving back to Texas, the boys recorded their debut album, 2003′s Los Lonely Boys, at Willie Nelson’s Pedernales studio in Austin with Nelson sitting in. Epic Records picked the album up for major-label distribution in March 2004, resulting in a high chart placement for the album’s lead single, “Heaven,” as well as a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance the following year. The Boys released their eagerly awaited sophomore album, Sacred, in 2006, and Forgiven followed in 2008.

June 13 TUPELO NIGHT OF COMEDY: This Comedy Night features Jim Colliton and Derek Richards. Our comedy nights are awesome. The comics are top notch. We give you two full hours of comedy. And the price is right. Bring friends and get tickets early. These always sell out.

June 15 LISA MARIE PRESLEY (with VIP meet and greet available): With all the hoopla that has surrounded her, it’s easy to forget that Lisa Marie Presley is at heart a simple Southern girl whose earliest musical memories are of obsessively listening to 45’s in her bedroom at Graceland and of her dad catching her singing into a hairbrush in front of a mirror at the age of three. The Memphis-born Presley reclaims those roots on her new album Storm and Grace — an Americana-inspired showcase for her songwriting talent and smoldering alto voice. Produced with elegant restraint by 12-time Grammy Award-winner T Bone Burnett, Storm and Grace is a marked departure from Presley’s previous albums, 2003's gold-certified To Whom It May Concern and 2005's Now What, which both debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart.
