5 Things: Several Roads Still Closed this Halloween

Happy Halloween, Bedford! Here's your trick or treat info and more.

1. Get your spook on. Yes, Bedford safety officials considered postponing trick or treat activities for the second-straight year, but late yesterday afternoon the decision was made to move forward with Halloween as planned. Trick or treating takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. today. Click here for more information.

3. Road Closures. The Bedford Department of Public Works continues to work on clearing several obstructed and partially-obstructed roads. The list, as of 5 a.m. today, includes:

  • 75 North Amherst
  • 101 Gage Girls

  • 36 Gage Road (low wire only)

4. Late start. Yes, Bedford children and teenagers head back to school today after two days off due to Sandy, but not before they get a couple hours of sleep. Bedford schools will be operating on a two-hour delay today and there will be no AM kindergarten. For more information, including several bus stop changes, click here.

5. Bedford water station. As of 6 a.m. this morning, PSNH is reporting 1085 Bedford customers are still without power. With that in mind, the Bedford Fire Department is not only offering free spigot water but bottled water as well.
