Bedford CERT Graduates Latest Class of Volunteers

The Bedford Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) has graduated their third class of trained volunteers on November 21, 2013 at the Bedford Old Town Hall.

Volunteers participated in 20+ hours of training over a 4-week period to learn about triage, search & rescue, and fire suppression.

Since its inception in June 2012; Bedford CERT has volunteered over 4300 hours. Activities ranging from on-going training, event support (Olde Town Day, Bike Rodeo, road races) and activations (traffic control at fires, Election Day).

Ron Michaud, Director of Bedford NH CERT, was recently recognized at the Spirit of New Hampshire Awards (hosted by Volunteer NH) for his efforts in making Bedford CERT the number one CERT group in the state in terms of hours volunteered and activations.
