Will Casino Gambling be Approved in NH in 2014?

The Senate Ways and Means Committee is scheduled to take up expanded gaming on Tuesday morning.

Is this the year that casino gambling will be approved by the New Hampshire Legislature? It's too early to tell, but the Senate Ways and Means Committee is scheduled to begin discussions on expanded gaming on Tuesday morning.

According to the Union Leader, Senate Bill 366 calls for essentially the same number of video slot machines (5,000) and table games (240) as last year's bill. One key difference is that it would split them between two casinos.

The Senate passed casino gambling legislation last year, but the bill was later killed by the House.
