Will 2014 Begin with a Blizzard?

Here are five things you should know today.

1. Blizzard Alert? It appears likely that a snowstorm will hit southern New Hampshire Thursday into Friday and, in addition to single-digit temperatures, the area may see up to 12 inches of snow. Read more here.

2. The weatherman says ... A mix of clouds and sun today as temperatures reach into the upper 20s during the afternoon, but dip right back down to single digits overnight. There is a 20-percent chance of snow.

3. Winter vacation continues. Students remain on break through New Year's Day and return to school on Jan. 2.
