Santa and Snow this Weekend? Already?

Here are five things you should know today in Bedford.

1. Win $50 by sharing your opinion! The Bedford Recreation Department is asking residents to take a short survey and is offering a $50 gift card to one lucky respondent. Read more here.

2. Too soon for Santa? Santa arrives at The Mall of New Hampshire today to begin spreading holiday cheer for the Christmas season! This year, kids will enjoy a brand new Santa Land as they share their wishes and hopes from their own Christmas lists with Santa and his helpers. Additionally the whole mall will be decorated with brand new holiday décor for visitors to enjoy as they stroll and shop. Strike a pose with Santa for a festive holiday memory while visiting from Friday, Nov. 8 through Tuesday, Dec. 24. Santa Photo times will vary during Mall Hours and extended Holiday Mall Hours. Visit Facebook.com/MallofNewHampshire or The Mall of NH for specific times.

3. State of the District. On Friday, Nov. 8, Bedford Superintendent Timothy Mayes will offer a "State of the District" update from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the BCTV Studio at 10 Meetinghouse Road. The Bedford Parent Teacher Group organized the information session, which will focus on what's happening district wide in the Bedford schools including district results, budget updates, hot topics and your questions will be discussed during this information session with our Superintendent of Schools. Coffee and light refreshments will be served, and young children are welcome.
