Children's Christmas Concert in Bedford this Week

Here are five things you should know today in Bedford.

1. Bedford Children's Christmas Concert! "Christmas with Mrs. Claus" (aka Judy Pancoast) is scheduled for 5 p.m., Dec. 11 at the old Bedford Town Hall. Find additional details here. 

2. Recycled Holiday Art? Th aforementioned concert is in conjunction with Bedford's "Recycled HOLIDAY Art Contest" which boys and girls ages 5 and up can enter for FREE.  Winners in each category (5-7 years) (8-10 years) (11-13 years) and (14-18 years). Additional details here.

3. Get your pet's photo with Santa! 
Family pets are invited to join in the holiday fun at Mall of New Hampshire and have their own turn on Santa's lap on Mondays in December. This is the purr-fect chance to capture a moment of your pet celebrating Christmas cheer! This special pet-friendly opportunity is in addition to Santa's regular hours. **All pets must be leashed or crated** More details here.

4. The weatherman says ... Today's forecasted high, according to Weather.com, is 31 degrees with a 50-percent chance of snow showers and flurries throughout the day and otherwise cloudy skies. The overnight low is 19 degrees with a 10-percent chance of precipitation.

5. The Nutcracker: Act II? 
In the spirit of the holiday season, the St. Paul’s School Ballet Company in Concord will present The Nutcracker: Act II. Performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, December 13 and 14, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 15, at 2p.m. in Memorial Hall on the school’s Concord campus. This abridged version of The Nutcracker is free of charge and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
