Black Ice Advisory in Effect for Bedford
Drivers are asked to drive with extra caution.
The National Weather Service has issued a special weather advisory for Eastern Hillsborough County Thursday morning warning of the potential for patchy black ice.
The advisory cautions that the combination of temperatures at or below freezing, combined with moisture from clusters of early-morning fog, creates the potential for black ice.
Drivers are encouraged to exercise extra caution until a few hours after sunrise, when those hazardous spots are likely to melt.
