A Wet Thursday Awaits in Bedford

Here are six things you should know today in Bedford

1. Bedford Ski & Skate Sale. The Bedford, NH Parent-Teacher Group is proud to announce its highly-anticipated and wildly-popular Annual Ski & Skate Sale event has been scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Bedford High School.  This family-oriented winter fundraiser aims to support education programs for the 4400+ students attending the six Bedford public schools grades K through 12 through the sale of new and consignment winter sports equipment and apparel from top vendors and families throughout our community. 2. The weatherman says ... 
Today's forecasted high, according to Weather.com, is 58 degrees with mostly sunny skies and a 90-percent chance of rain. The overnight low is projected at 31 degrees.

3. Honoring our Veterans. Don't forget, next Monday, Nov. 11, is Veterans' Day, a scheduled day off at Bedford public schools. Bedford Town offices and U.S. Post offices will also be closed for the holiday.

4. State of the District. 
On Friday, Nov. 8, Bedford Superintendent Timothy Mayes will offer a "State of the District" update from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the BCTV Studio at 10 Meetinghouse Road. The Bedford Parent Teacher Group organized the information session, which will focus on what's happening district wide in the Bedford schools including district results, budget updates, hot topics and your questions will be discussed during this information session with our Superintendent of Schools. Coffee and light refreshments will be served, and young children are welcome.
