Sonia Quesada Found Dead in Bedford Home
Dr. Eduardo Quesada's condition unknown at this time.
Bedford Police, after investigating the scene of a death at 49 Kensington Lane, issued a statement tonight confirming that Sonia Quesada was found dead inside the home of Dr. Eduardo Quesada's mother.
Bedford Police Chief John Bryfonski, at a news conference Monday evening, said there was no trauma to either person, but a large amount of prescription drugs was found at the scene.
Police responded to the condominium, located in a 55+ community, at 10:12 a.m. Monday, after receiving a call from a family member requesting a check on the welfare of the Quesadas.
The home was secure, but responding officers received no answer at the door and attempts to contact the couple via cell phone failed. After receiving consent from the family, police forcibly entered the residence.
Sonia Quesada was found deceased inside the home and Eduardo Quesada was unconscious. He was treated by Bedford Fire paramedics and transported to a local hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
The couple's child was with other family members and was not present.
According to police, no forced entry was evident prior to officers entering the home and no one else was found inside the residence.
No additional information is being released at this time pending further investigation by the Bedford Police Department, New Hampshire State Police and the Hillsborough County Attorneys Office.
The violent home invasion occurred Nov. 24, when the couple entering their home at about 10 p.m. were confronted by the attacker, police said. Bryfonski described the attacker, based on interviews with the victims, as a 6-foot-tall man who was wearing a black mask and a dark coat.
While the case remains under investigation, the police department convened a community meeting early last month to field questions and to try to allay any concerns of Bedford residents.

This couple have been arrested in the past (nov 2011) for domestic violence. Nov 2012 a "masked man" brakes into their home and attacks them but doesn't hurt the child. And now the wife ends up dead and he's found unconscious...things are not adding up here and it all smells fishy to me. Bet there was no real "masked man" and they just kicked each others butt and used the masked man as a cover up. Eventually the truth will come out, it always does.

Anyone else notice the Bedford PD didn't secure the area with yellow crime tape?
Sure sign of a murder/suicide.

Sound like the Dr. found out his wife tried to kill him and did her in as soon as he was able to.

to make a comment like Mr. V must have a lot of poison in his life, be careful what you say, it is not appropriate to say things they do not know, unless this character is the attacker from last year to this family.

Dr. Quesada was my doctor for nearly 12 years following an injury to my spine that resulted in herniated discs and extensive nerve damage. Dr. Quesada is a kind and gentle man who goes to any length necessary to help his patients, and he is highly regarded by his collegues and staff.. because this man took the time to listen, and take action to get the cause of and treat my medical conditions, it is thanks to him that I am able to walk today..it is thanks to him that I am again able to care for and enjoy activities with my children. Its heartbreaking enough to hear this news without people passing judgement on someone they dont know..I just thought someone who does know him should have a say as well..

I completely agree with Michelle B. Dr. Quesada has treated me for an initially disabling back condition for 8 years. After several procedures I now can sit through a movie without pain. I can drive myself to work and back without pain. Dr. Quesada treated my mother for many years as well. He has always been a kind and gentle soft spoken man. I feel people should wait for the facts to emerge before passing judgement on this family tragedy.

I agree with Michelle. I have been seeing Dr.Quesada once a month for the last six years. He went out of his way to call me at home if there was a medical problem that needed attention, I had seen seventeen doctors before I found him and travelled four hours round trip.for appointments to see him. I have never met such a caring doctor and he will be greatly missed. You could not ask for a more kind, gentle man who truly cared about his patients. I don't know what I will do without him. I also agree - don't pass judgement on someone you don't know. The medical community is going to suffer a great loss without him.

Hes a dr he is supposed to be proffesional. What he does in his private life can be the
Exact opposite of how he treated his pt's. It doesnt matter how nice he was, theres alot more goin on behind the signs, whether you believe it or not.

Davy ..with all due respect, youre missing the point .. his level of professionalism goes WELL ABOVE AND BEYOND what is required and expected of someone in the medical (or any other) field.. he has never taken the all too common "treat and street" route with his patients..at EVERY appt he shakes your hand, he asks how youre doing and actually listens and cares how youre doing..he spends as much time with each patient as is necessary to thoroughly address ALL their concerns.. if youve been reserved a 15 min time slot and need 45 - you GET 45.. this is the ONLY doctor that has ever gone out of his way to PERSONALLY call me on a holiday weekend to check on me following a very difficult procedure to treat my chronic pain.. hes the same man "off the clock" as he is on and Ive heard countless people say so..if there were more doctors of his caliber in the field, the world would be a far better place..

I, too, have been a patient of Dr. Quesada for many years. He is an extraordinary man. He was always kind, concerned and soft spoken. My life of back and neck pain has greatly improved because of him. I have been very upset about the events that have occurred since 11-24-2012. I immediately thought the large amount of prescription drugs was for the pain he and his wife were experiencing since 11-24-2012. I make no judgment on what has occurred here. I do know that, in the past, excruciating unrelenting pain has made me feel like I would rather die than experience pain for even one more minute. With his treatment, I no longer feel that way and pray for his recovery.

Isaac's mom,
I couldnt agree more!! The media wasted no time reiterating that prescription meds were found at the scene - to, as usual, create more drama and allow folks to assume the worst (and we all know what they say about when one assumes) Dr. and Mrs. Quesada were both badly beaten by the shameless coward who broke into their home - Dr. Quesada, so much so that initially the police thought he was dead ..so naturally after an attack of that magnitude, they would be given something for pain control! Like you, Ive been in that dark place ..where anything is preferred to one more moment of unbearable all consuming pain.. and like you, Dr. Quesada extended his hand and brilliantly brought me back from that dark place.. sigh, but as Im sure you know, (and no disrespect intended) anyone who has never walked the road of chronic pain, cannot possibly understand what its like..its like expecting someone whos never served in the military and gone to war to understand what our veterans have endured - both physically and emotionally.. I do wish you well ..

I am also a patient of Dr. Quesada. He is the best doctor anyone can ask for. He saved me from unimaginable nerve pain. He saved my life because no other doctor could help me. He is the most sincere, compassionate, and a good hearted person . He had such a determination to help me recover. I wish I can help in his dark times like he has helped me through mine. I would take all his pain away if I could.

I can't believe how naive people are. I don't care if the good Dr. was a Saint in the office, you NEVER know what goes on between two people behind closed doors. I am holding my judgement until there are more FACTS known. I suggest others do the same. It's not right to accuse, and/or insinuate that a deceased woman who is no longer here to defend herself, is the perpetrator, which is what many are doing. Since when do we blame the woman for domestic violence? Does anyone have a copy of the police report from the domestic violence call before the invasion? I'm sure the Dr was very good at what he did for a living, however that doesn't mean he was an angel at home. Nobody knows what goes through the minds of people they really don't know. For that matter, nobody really knows what goes through the minds of people they do know. Look at all the crimes that happen and relatives say they "never would have imagined it!" I'm anxious for the police to open up and tell the public what's really going on here. It's obvious they're trying to cover up something. If this wasn't a well received Dr. living in Bedford, we'd already know. IMO.

Steve from NH: when the media reports news to the public, it becomes the public's "bidness". Be sure to button up your overcoat and wear a hat and mitts.
Oh, and, this is the comment section for people to voice their opinions about the article directly above the comment section. If comments were not welcomed by this newspaper, there would not be a section for comments. This is just my opinion.

Kimberly, maybe you should be talking to the cops, instead of airing your views here. You say you were a patient of Dr. Quesada; did he regularly tell you about his personal life? Gold digger, lunatic, unstable wife? Is this normal Dr. / patient conversation?
Bedford PD, if you are out there reading this, pls get some statements from Kimberly. She seems to know quite a bit of Dr. Quesada's personal life. And an earlier comment re: 17 stabbings with a screw driver; that was never released information. If you care so much for the good doctor, have some decency and talk to the cops.

Sounds like people from the "hood" know a lot more about the situation than everyone else does. Carmen, Kimberly is a "he?" "He" is a good person? Strange.
I agree with Francis. Kimberly should be speaking with the police since she/he knows so much info!

Kimberly words express her pain and frustration about what happened with Dr Eduardo, however expressed hatred when referring to his wife , I think if they were married were happy, there is no reason to say bizarre things K mentioned in a review, l do not understand that K speaks with anger when referring to his wife it was like K feels something more for him than just a friendship. these spaces have to be prudent, Kimberly seems to be a person with a lot of hatred within her, release and help clarify this tragedy.

It seems to me that at least 6 or 7 of the comments here were left by patients of the Dr. I can't help but notice that they have all been posted by females (at least by user name). Did he specialize in females or something specific to females?

So all of the people posting here who've ACTUALLY KNOWN HIM have nothing to contribute but the sad, slanderous, pitiful peanut gallery does? That's your opinion S. Fox who claim to be a retired physician yourself? You disgust me, and I pray the rest of you don't live in my town.

Harris Allen; read my comments again. I assume you can read. My comments were NEVER about Dr Quesada personally. I only gave my theories based on MY OWN EXPERIENCES and stated so. You need to be careful what you write. Don't make me drive all night wearing astronaut diapers to find you. You seem to have a lot of anger issues. Perhaps you'd care to share....problems in the bedroom hmmm

I don't know any of the parties involved in this tragic this situation. Someone used my email to create an account and post multiple comments. I know this since I got "multiple responses to comments" in my email inbox. So please disregard any of the comments made by "YankeesSuck" as they are not mine, rather by some coward afraid to use their own identity to "stir the pot".

I know all the parties involved and I know what happened, which if other people did, they would be a lot kinder. Meanwhile, if you don't know, try to have good thoughts for the victims, and pray something like this never happens to or your family.

Michelle,
If you knew what happened, maybe you can help the Bedford Police as they are obviously having trouble with the case. You could save them a lot of time, money and effort and also allow them to focus on other items!
