VIDEO: DNC Chair Rallies NH Democrats

The last year has seen a plethora of big political names appear at the New England Council and New Hampshire Institute of Politics' famed "Politics and Eggs" breakfast.

While the vast majority of guests have been Republican presidential candidates – , , , and , to name a few – this morning's breakfast featured a distinct change of pace.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chair of the Democratic National Committee, spoke at the Bedford Village Inn, where she rallied Granite State Democrats and independent voters behind Barack Obama.

"The American people have a very serious choice to make in November," she said. "The stakes are very high, and as a mom with three beautiful young children who I care about deeply and who are my number one priority, I know I'm going to be rolling up my sleeves and working so hard all the way up until election day to help Americans choose President Obama and send him back to the White House."

Wasserman Schultz spoke at length about New Hampshire's First-in-the-Nation Primary, chastising the winner, Mitt Romney, and the Tea Party for creating increased partisan divisiveness.

In addition to numerous local business men and women, the event drew young Democrats and independents from around the country, many of them attending college locally.

"She was definitely talking about a lot of the things I was thinking ... she was very informative, and she came across very passionate. I really enjoyed it," said Jesse Imse, an Obama Supporter from Connecticut, who added that he hopes to see an end to the partisan divide.

"It's definitely a problem we have in congress, between the Democrats and Republicans, both being so extreme and not being able to compromise with each other," he continued. "It's definitely troublesome. President Obama is doing the best he can, better than anyone else would be doing, but it's something we need to figure out fast."
