Ron Paul More than Doubling Romney's NH TV Ad Buys

Texas congressman releases new commercial this week.

With New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation presidential primary quickly approaching, Ron Paul's television ad campaign is pushing forward in full force.

The Texas congressman has invested a total of $246,560 in WMUR-TV commercials running between Dec. 21 and Jan. 3.

New Hampshire front-runner Mitt Romney, in contrast, has spent $112,105 through the same period.

Paul has already purchased an additional $208,669 on 30- and 60-second ads that run Jan. 3 through Jan. 10, leaving little doubt as to the weight he's placed on the Granite State television airwaves.

The Paul campaign released its latest ad, ‘Machine,’ which begins airing today in New Hampshire and Iowa.

The 30-second ad (watch the video to the right) condemns the dysfunctional Washington-insider atmosphere created and furthered by slick politicians, and presents Paul as a leader who has stood apart and above such an environment, according to a recent press release.

“Our new ad ‘Machine’ argues the point that Washington is populated with politicians and well-connected interests that serve themselves rather than a vulnerable public that relies on politicians to create the proper atmosphere for fair competition and growth," said Paul's 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton. "In contrast Ron Paul has always been above the fray and promotes policies and initiatives such as his ‘Plan to Restore America,’ an economic blueprint to help Americans recapture their constitutionally-guaranteed economic and civil liberties."

The only other candidate currently appearing on local TV advertisements is Jon Huntsman.

Our Destiny PAC has invested $98,800 this month in commercials for the former China ambassador and Utah governor.
