Police Still Searching for Answers in Violent Home Invasion

Chief Bryfonski: "We have a person of interest and that's all we can say at this point."

Bedford police patrols have a greater visibility in town as officers continue to investigate Saturday's violent home invasion, Chief John Bryfonski said.

The crime scene in the area of 7 Proclamation Court developed after officers arrived at the house late Saturday night to find two residents had been seriously injured in an attack.

Bryfonski tells Bedford Patch that he could not release much information, citing the pending investigation. When asked if police were looking for one person or two, he replied Monday:

Bryfonski told WMUR that his department was able to speak with one of the two people hospitalized following the attack, but they didn't get much useful information. Investigators were back searching the area of 7 Proclamation Court on Monday morning for evidence.

Both of the injured parties are expected to recover.

While Bedford police will conduct more visible patrols, Bryfonski reminds residents that it is important to be vigilant and, if they see anything suspicious, to call the police department.
