Occupier: Ron Paul 'Lesser of Two Evils' [VIDEO]

UNH Students represent Occupy movement at NBC Meet the Press Debate.

Dozens of students from the University of New Hampshire traveled from Durham to Concord today to occupy NBC's Meet the Press Debate.

The protesters said they're not in the Granite State Capital to support one candidate or another, but rather to send a message to both parties that money and politics shouldn't mix.

"We're occupying the primary, essentially, because ... whether you go Democrat or Republican, it's the system that really needs to be addressed ... what we're talking about is getting money out of politics," said Alex Freid, of Durham. "Basically, this isn't really a democracy when your dollar counts more than my vote, and that's a pretty serious problem."

None of the current candidates in the field represent a departure from that mentality, said fellow UNH student Lauren Banker.

"If I had to vote, this wouldn't come from the Occupy movement at all, this would come from my personal opinion," said Banker, "I would probably vote for Ron Paul, but that's still the lesser of two evils, unfortunately."
