NH Tea Party Leader Endorses 'Liberty-Minded' Candidates
Congressional District 1, Executive Council District 4, State Senate District 9, and Hillsborough County Sheriff among those endorsed by founder of NH Tea Party Coalition
Citing the need for what she called "a new direction in County, State, and Federal Government," education activist and New Hampshire Tea Party Coalition founder Jane Aitken, of Bedford, today endorsed four candidates for the Sept. 11 state primary.
Those earning Aitken's support include District 9 Senate Candidate Andy Sanborn, Hillsborough County Sheriff candidate Frank Szabo, District 1 Congressional candidate Rick Parent and Executive Council District 4 candidate Tom DeBlois.
"These candidates represent the changes we need and I'm confident they will do what they say they will, once in office," said Aitken.
"I am supporting Andy Sanborn for State Senate because he already has a solid record of fighting for small businesses and personal liberties, and is extremely accessible to all New Hampshire residents," she said.
Calling Szabo "a liberty-oriented candidate," Aitken said that the candidate will bring "new knowledge and perspective to the often overlooked office of the Sheriff."
In endorsing Parent, Aitken called the Congressional District 1 candidate "a constitutional conservative who will stand up for our personal liberties as well as our national sovereignty."
And Aitken said she is endorsing DeBlois because "he has pledged to work with and support the Governor as an Executive Councilor in District 4 to prevent sales and income taxes, reduce business regulation, and lower state spending in general."
Aitken said she encourages Granite State voters to turn out in force the Sept. 11 primary to vote for these "liberty" candidates.

I completely agree with your assessment of Senator Andy Sanborn. I don't even live in Sanborn's district and I was actually able to get him on the phone. I don't know if he did what I wanted him to do but he was certainly willing to hear me out. Thank you Andy.

I can assure you no one is working harder for his constituents then Andy Sanborn.

Frank Szabo says this in an article he titled "No Such Thing As Constitutional Rights":
"No federal or state agency has authority in the county unless the Sheriff permits it. "
and:
"If, in the Sheriff’s opinion, a proposed action is unconstitutional, the Sheriff is duty-bound, and authorized, to block it."
And that's liberty?

Yes Steve, That is responsible liberty, i.e. responsability. We need Frank Szabo and many more like him!

Mike, "Sheriff Szabo" is proposing that he be the one to determine what is constitutional - no need for courts. He says that he would be the highest authority in the county. He seems to think that he can make up his own laws (e.g. deadly force to prevent an abortion, which is legal), and then enforce them.
That, my friend, is not responsibility - it is the definition of tyranny.
