NH State Police Arrest 15 for DUI on New Year's Eve

Several drivers also booked for possession of drugs.

The following arrest information was supplied by NH State Police. It does not indicate a conviction.

New Hampshire State Troopers arrested a total of 25 drivers on New Year's Eve and charged 10 with driving under the influence.

State Police Director Colonel Robert Quinn, in a release, said he's pleased that there were no fatal motor vehicle accidents and thanked all those who 'travelled safely and courteously.'

Quinn said troopers were out in force between 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31 and 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1 with an aim at keeping the roads safe.

The following drivers were arrested and their charged during the traffic enforcement effort:

  • Justin Dacey, age 28, Effingham,NH:  Driving Under the Influence
  • James Burton, age 34, Manchester, NH: Driving Under the Influence & Possession of a Controlled Drug
  • Elizabeth Beinhorn, age 30, Rochester, NH:  Reckless Driving, Reckless Conduct, Disobeying an Officer
  • Howard Drouin, age 33, W. Swanzey, NH: Driving Under the Influence
  • Hicham Gharios, age 34, Somersworth, NH:  Driving Under the Influence
  • Munir Osman, age 33, Manchester, NH:  Driving Under the Influence & Habitual Offender
  • Nicholas Sumner, age 22, Bethel, ME:  Possession of Controlled Drug
  • Brandon Sargent age 21, Portsmouth, NH:  Driving Under the Influence
  • Christopher Morse, age 24, Dover, NH:Driving Under the Influence
  • Joshua McKinnon,age  31, Derry, NH:  Driving Under the Influence
  • Joseph Bashaw, age 29, W. Lebanon, NH:  Driving Under the Influence
  • James McGlory, age 46, Antrim, NH: Electronic Bench Warrant
  • Jeremiah Nason, age 23, Lebanon, NH:  Electronic Bench Warrant
  • Jessica Turner, age 25, Concord, NH:  Driving After Suspension
  • Jonathan Reed, age 31, Groveton, NH:  Driving Under the Influence
  • Wayne Downs, age 25, Epping, NH:  Driving Under the Influence & Possession of a Controlled Drug
  • Marissa Willey, age 18, Allenstown, NH:  Unlawful Possession of Alcohol
  • Willian Mejia-Delisle, age 19, Manchester, NH:  Driving Under the Influence
  • Amanda Ebitson, age 22, Raymond, NH:  Possession of a Controlled Drug
  • Joshua Lantos, age 24, Norton, MA:  Driving After Suspension
  • 17-year-old minor, Springfield, NH: Driving Under the Influence
  • Hannah Parenteau, age 18, Springfield, NH:  Unlawful Possession of Alcohol
  • Luis Maciel, age 33, Manchester, NH: Driving Under the Influence Aggravated & Subsequent
  • Daniel Katsohis, age 24, Hudson, NH:  Driving Under the Influence, Driving After Suspension, Electronic Bench Warrant

Several erratic and impaired operators were identified and apprehended as a result of citizen phone calls.

The men and women of the State Police appreciate the public's assistance in removing impaired drivers from our roadways. The New Hampshire State Police are committed to ensuring safe travel throughout the state and will continue our efforts to reduce traffic collisions in 2013.
