This holiday season, the New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) has partnered with the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program to help make the holidays brighter for thousands of families in New Hampshire. Through Dec. 15, the New Hampshire Liquor Commission will be collecting new and unwrapped toys at select New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlets, including Bedford.
The mission of the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect toys each year and distribute them as Christmas and holiday gifts to less fortunate children across the United States. Along with the toys, the United States Marine Corps Reserve delivers a message of hope that will encourage recipients to become responsible, productive and patriotic citizens. The program also unites members of local communities in a common cause during its annual toy collection and distribution campaign.
The United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program receives the least amount of donations for infants and children 10 years and older. New Hampshire residents can help by giving items such as infant toys, sporting equipment and handheld games. Stuffed animals and clothing are not accepted.
“Toys for Tots in New Hampshire is excited about this new partnership with the New Hampshire Liquor Commission,” stated Bethany Cottrell, Co-Coordinator, Toys for Tots -Londonderry, NH. “The past few years have been extremely difficult as the need for toys has increased and donations have decreased. We are looking forward to a successful season this year thanks to great relationships like this.”
“There are thousands of families right here in New Hampshire that benefit from the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program,” explained New Hampshire Liquor Commission Chairman Joseph W. Mollica. “We are proud that our New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlets are serving as collection points across the state.”
