BVI Hosts Benefit for Man Who Lost Legs in Bombing

Bedford Village Inn to sell 'Jeff's Bag,' a blueberry chocolate dessert, to raise money for 27-year-old Jeff Bauman.

The Bedford Village Inn, Wednesday, published a message on its Facebook page announcing a benefit for Jeff Bauman, who survived, but lost both legs in Monday's Boston Marathon attack. While a page has been set up to raise donations for Bauman, the BVI will raise money for medical bills and other expenses for the family through a promotion this Thursday, April 18, through Sunday, April 21, where a modified version its famous chocolate bag dessert will be served. One-hundred percent of the proceeds will go directly to the family's charity.

The full Facebook message reads as follows:

As you may know one of our long time friends, Csilla Bauman, has been faced with a terrible tradgedy. Csilla's son Jeff had both legs amputated on monday as a result of a bomb at the Boston marathon planted by a coward. The family needs help raising money for medical bills etc. this THURSDAY through SUNDAY we will be featuring "Jeff's Bag" a signature chocolate bag made in honor of Jeff and his family. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the proceeds from the sales over 4 days will go directly to the families charity. TELL YOUR FRIENDS!! Come down and have a bag for Jeff.

As requested. Jeff's Favorite flavor is Blueberry so "Jeff's Bag" will incorporate blueberry in this special one off bag. Our pastry team is working feverishly as we speak to keep up with the demand. Remember ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of proceeds go to the Bauman family.
