Bedford Police to Begin 'Are You Okay' Program Feb. 14

Bedford residents in need of assistance will now receive it from local officers.

The Bedford Police Department has announced the long-awaited "Are you Okay?" program will kick off Feb. 14.

The department is now accepting applications for the program, which is aimed at providing police assistance to elderly, those with physical impairments and others in need of a helping hand.

Those interested in being part of the program are encouraged to stop by the Bedford Safety Complex to pick up an application packet that includes an informational brochure, application and program qualifications. Once the paperwork is filled out and returned an officer from the Community Policing Division will be in contact.
